Privacy Policy

Summary. This policy explains what data we collect, how and why we use it, whether we share it, how you can control it (including account & data deletion), and our security practices. It is designed to meet Google Play’s User Data policy, including the in‑app account deletion and web‑accessible deletion request requirements. Please read it carefully.

Who we are

Kasi Wi‑Fi Connect ("Kasi Wi‑Fi Connect", "we", "us") provides tools to sell Wi‑Fi vouchers, manage hotspots and wallets, and support customers. What data we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect the following categories of information:

Account & Profile: name, surname, phone number, email, reseller status, role (owner/worker), and account credentials (passwords are stored using industry‑standard hashing).
Identifiers & device info: app instance IDs, device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and (if our build includes ads or analytics SDKs) the Advertising ID.
Network & usage: hotspot/network identifiers you manage (e.g., hotspot ID, network ID), voucher sales and redemptions, wallet balance and transactions, in‑app interactions, and basic diagnostics.
Location (only if you grant permission): precise or approximate location for features like finding/assigning hotspots or location‑bound vouchers. Background location is requested only if required by a feature and will include a prominent in‑app disclosure.
Customer support content: messages, attachments, or metadata you send to us.
Payments: if you make purchases, we may process payment method tokens and transaction metadata via secure payment processors (we do not store full card details on our servers).

We collect data (a) directly from you, (b) automatically from your device and app usage, and (c) from service providers and partners involved in app functionality.

How we use your data

Core app functionality: authenticate you; operate wallet, voucher sales, and hotspot management; deliver receipts and notifications.
Account & fraud prevention: secure accounts, detect abuse, and protect against fraud and misuse.
Analytics & product improvement: understand feature usage and app performance to improve stability and user experience.
Communications: send important service messages (for example, voucher confirmations or account notices). Marketing communications are optional and require consent where required.
Legal compliance: meet regulatory, tax, and reporting obligations.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

Service providers that host our infrastructure, process payments, provide analytics/crash reporting, and deliver support. They act under contracts that restrict their use of your data.
Business partners when needed to activate and support Wi‑Fi networks or voucher systems you use.
Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Business transfers in the context of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with appropriate safeguards.

Advertising: The app currently does not include third‑party advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and our Data safety disclosures before enabling ads.

Your choices & rights

Access, update, or correct

You can view and update key account details in the app. For other requests, contact us at support@kasiwificonnect.co.za.

Account & data deletion

We provide two ways to request deletion of your app account and associated data:

In‑app: (update these steps to match your app) open Profile → Account → Delete account and follow the prompts.
Web request: submit a request at https://kasiwificonnect.co.za/account-deletion (replace with your actual page).

We will verify your identity and delete data unless retention is required by law (for example, financial record‑keeping or fraud prevention). We will confirm deletion via email or in‑app notice.

Permissions

You can control optional permissions (e.g., Location, Camera for QR) in Android settings. Denying optional permissions may limit related features but the app will continue to function.

Advertising ID & analytics

If present in your build, you can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at the OS level. See your device documentation for details.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we either delete it or de‑identify it.

Security

Encryption in transit (HTTPS) for data between the app and our servers.
Restricted access controls and least‑privilege principles for staff and systems.
Industry‑standard hashing for passwords and secure key management for secrets.

No system can be 100% secure, but we continually improve our safeguards and monitor for vulnerabilities.

Children

Our app is designed for adult resellers and business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the age defined by local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

International transfers & legal bases

Your data may be processed in South Africa and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), we rely on consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, and/or compliance with legal obligations as legal bases for processing.

SDKs & third‑party services we may use

We may integrate third‑party SDKs and services to provide functionality, analytics, and diagnostics. Update this list to reflect your build:

Each provider processes limited data on our behalf in line with its own privacy policy and our instructions.
